When newly elected officials arrive in DC, even before they have their offices assigned, they are greeted like a young girl from Omaha arriving in L.A. Everyone wants to be their pimp, er, I mean ‘friend’. “Glad to meet you,If you need anything, just give me a call” all of this really means “we’re going to need your support”.
If you do not join one of the major gangs, I mean alliances, and vote pretty much the party line, you can expect NO SUPPORT for any of your bills or projects when you try to get something done.
What THIS PLAN calls for though, is for heroes. representatives that will go to D.C. and stand tall. Reps that will vote “NO” to any bill that has any pork in it. vote “NO” to any bill that spends any money for any project that is not within the scope of what the Constitution. To vote “NO” on any bill that incresces their own salary, benefits or rights. Vote “NO” to any bill that attempts to limit the rights or freedoms of the citisens of this country. To vote “NO” to any bill that attempts to control any of the individula states.
No, I said in the title, this is not going to be easy, but then, being a hero never is.
You will also be asked to PRESENT BILLS that will limit government growth, bills that reduce government, bills that even roll back your (and your peers’ salary and benefits packages, bills that will return the rights and liberties to t American people, and bills that return sovereignty to the individual states.
None of your bills will be very successful, as they not only fly in the face of everything that Congress has been doing for ages. Add to that, the fact, that you have not been ‘joining in’ on the usual raping and pillaging of the American people by voting with other reps, THEY will surely not vote with you. Sorry, but that’s just the way that the game is played.
Here is where it pays off though, there will be 28 seats democratic up for grabs in 2010. With the economy in a state of decline, job losses at an all time high, and government take-over of corporate America on the rise, time is ripe for a sweep.
If we can pick up even half of these seats, we will have enough voting power to effectively BLOCK much of the ‘out of control’ legislation that is brought to the floor. When the dust settles, and the taxpayers see that out reps have ’stemmed the tide’, they will indeed be declared heroes. By the time the next election comes around, we will be anble to show a slate of perfect records voting for the taxpayers on each and every issue JUST AS PROMISED.
When these representatives’ voting records are made public, there will be more people signing on, and we will have enough people in office to become the majority in at least one of the houses, effectively get control of spending back, and actually get our reform bills passed.
No, it is NOT going to be easy, but it is time to roll up our sleeves, and find the Representatives that have what it will take. It is time to get a contract with our representatives. Have them sign an agreement that if they FAIL to vote as they promise, they will step down at the end of their term, and not even run again. These people have been take taxpayer contributions and then turn their back on the very promises they made during the campaign. It is time to hold them contractually to these platform issues.

I would also like to see those cushy lifetime benefits for congress rescinded, those legacy costs should not go forward. It was good enough for Chrysler and GM, they should feast at the same table the set.
i am sickened by what hussein obama is doing to America and the people, i am even more sickened what my children will not have and enjoy what the real America was
