The Speech I yearn to hear…
The Road of Liberty has been cleared, leveled, paved and walked. Yet we strayed from that road, and we forgot the men who built the road for us. Instead, we followed pied pipers toward a utopia, chasing a rainbow to find a pot of gold.
There is no utopia and there is no pot of gold. Rainbows are just a trick of light and mist, pied pipers are charlatans. And it is time we return to the Road of Liberty.
From the first nation, there have been men that said they new better than the rest of us. They said that they would use power to make things better. “If you only do what I say, we’ll have a utopia, and everything will be rainbows and gold.”
There have always been those who did not want to do what the pied piper said. They wanted to build there own lives, and work for their families’ gold in their own way. They were radicals who declared, “I don’t steal, hurt, or defraud another – so let me be free to live my life and build my dreams”
It was these men who founded this Country. It was these radicals who fought the king for their children. It was these men that declared, “No charlatan will tell us how to live, for We the People are the law”.
We need to be radicals once more. We need to return to the Road of Liberty. I don’t want to be progressive and chase a rainbow. I don’t want to be a conservative and do business as usual. I am a radical. I am the sort of radical that founded this Country, and I want it to be free again.
I have no agenda. I have no platform. I am not one to tell you that I know what is better for your business, your family, or your life – you know better than I. It is your business, your family, your life, you road and your Country – not the government’s.
I will not write any laws and I will not change any laws and I will not tell you what to do. I will vote against any law that comes forward, and I will work tirelessly to repeal the laws and executive orders that exist now. The only laws I will keep are those outlined in the Constitution and its amendments, providing those amendments were lawfully enacted.
I will not stand on high and tell you what to do. That is up to you, your community, your city, and your State. I want the federal government to get out of our way. I want freedom restored to this Country as our founding radicals had done. I choose the Road of Liberty.
